Narikuravar is a nomadic tribe living in Tamil Nadu. There are around 30,000 families of Narikuravars spread across the state in small clusters. The pandemic-induced lockdown has severely hit the livelihood of this already socially excluded community. Further, successive state and central governments have neglected this tribal group's needs year after year, leaving them out of most welfare measures.
