Restore OPS! Employees Across Country Give Warning to Centre
On November 3, thousands of government employees from across the country held a rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan. Their main demand was restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). They also called for end to privatisation and speedy recruitment on lakhs of vacant government posts. Terming it as a ‘Warning Rally’, the protesting employees said if the Centre did not fulfill the demands of lakhs of government employees, they would intensify their country-wide movement.
