Government employees in the country have been agitating for many years demanding restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and against the National Pension Scheme (NPS). Meanwhile, the Modi government has come up with a new scheme, Unified Pension Scheme (UPS), which seems to be a mix of OPS and NPS.
