'Modi Go Back' Trends on Social Media Before PM's Rajasthan Rally Marking 9 Years of BJP Central Govt

Delhi: Prior to the Rajasthan rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the hashtag "Modi go back" gained traction on social media.

As of 1:30 pm on 31 May, over 93,900 tweets emerged with the hashtag "modi_go_back". Users on Twitter employing the hashtag included various individuals from Rajasthan, including members of the Jat community, Congress party members, and those criticizing the BJP for the crackdown on protesting female wrestlers in Delhi.

Several Twitter users shared a photo of a road with the words "go back Modi" painted on it, indicating the welcome the prime minister can expect when he visits Rajasthan.

A Twitter user with the handle Jat Unity tweeted, stating, "Rajasthan's tradition has always been to treat guests as gods and welcome them to our land. Modi ji, if you had upheld the dignity of the prime minister's position, we would have respected you in the same manner! But you have brought disgrace to both the position and the country. The daughters of this country are weeping, and you remain indifferent!"

PM Modi is scheduled to address a rally in Rajasthan's Ajmer district on Wednesday, marking the first major event of the BJP's month-long outreach campaign to commemorate its nine years in power at the Centre.

Vasudev Devnani, MLA of Ajmer North, stated that BJP workers from 45 assembly and eight Lok Sabha constituencies are being mobilised for the rally.

Before addressing the public rally, Modi will offer prayers at the renowned Brahma Temple in Pushkar, situated approximately 15 km from Ajmer city. He will also travel by helicopter from Kishangarh airport to Pushkar, where he will pay his respects at the Brahma Temple.

Following this, he will fly by helicopter to a helipad near the rally venue, Kayad Vishram Sthali, located on Jaipur road, according to police sources cited by PTI.

Rajasthan, where the ruling Congress party is currently embroiled in a leadership struggle between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his former deputy Sachin Pilot, will hold elections at the end of this year.

The constituencies encompass districts such as Ajmer, Nagaur, Tonk, Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Jaipur, and Pali.
