Assembly elections are due in Bihar in coming November. This is the first election in the country amid the COVID-19 pandemic. While the incumbent government seems to be in a weak spot, the Opposition's position does not appear too strong either. The Lalu gharana of the Rashtriya Janata Dal which forms the axis of the Opposition is also its greatest weakness.
