COVID-19: Domestic Workers Still Face Isolation
Most of the domestic workers in India are women and they do this work while taking care of their own families. Heavily affected by the pandemic-induced lockdowns, these workers continue to struggle to make a living even after relaxations in the lockdown restrictions. This is because they aren't let inside many homes to work as their employers fear that they would spread Covid-19. Some of the women domestic workers in Tamil Nadu spoke to NewsClick about their issues and demands.
