Angry trade unions protest against worker deaths due to factory fires, heat wave, despite two Labour Department advisories.
On June 20, the Delhi units of the Common Platform of Central Trade Unions demonstrated at the Labour Commissioner office, against negligence and harsh attitude of the Labour Department officials over frequent deaths of workers due to factory fires and heat wave. They alleged criminal negligence of factory owners. TUs said despite two advisories by the Labour Department, no efforts were made to implement them. Watch NewsClick's ground report.
