The story revealed that the turnover of one of the companies controlled by him, Temple Enterprise, had an increase of 16,000 times in its turnover, amongst other things. Jay Shah has filed a 100 crore defamation lawsuit against The Wire. A Cabinet Minister held a press conference in his defense. The Additional Solicitor General (ASG), Tushar Mehta, is granted time off to fight the case on Jay Shah's behalf. Is the reaction to the story getting disproportionate?
