On July 17, 2019, 10 landless tribal farmers were shot at and killed in UP's Umbha village which is in Sonbhadra district. The accused in the case are local land mafias and rowdies who belong to Gujjar community. Land mafias continue to wreak havoc in Sonbhadra and Mirzapur region.
