The government is adamant on making Aadhar card mandatory for all Indian citizens. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that Aadhar may be the only card in the future. It is going to be necessary for direct benefit transfer scheme, for filing Income Tax and even for admissions in schools. This is happening after the Supreme Court had said last year, that Aadhar cannot be made compulsory.
