Manesar: Maruti Workers Struggling for Justice for 12 Years!
Twelve years ago, in July 2012, a violent incident took place during a workers' protest at the Maruti Suzuki’s Manesar plant, in which an HR person died. The blame for this was placed on the agitating workers. Hundreds of workers were fired even before the investigation. Later most of the arrested workers were proved innocent, but despite this, the company is not taking them back. Over 400 workers have been struggling for 12 years demanding reinstatement. For the past 10 days, these workers have been sitting on an indefinite strike outside the Manesar Tehsil office. Watch NewsClick's ground report.
