Lucknow Resonates with Shaheen Bagh's Voice of Resistance
Inspired by Shaheen Bagh's anti-CAA and anti-NRC protest, the women of Hussainabad, Lucknow have also started a 24x7 protest on January 17. Uttar Pradesh Police have been desperately trying to end the peaceful sit-in. They reportedly stole the blankets of the protesters. On the evening of January 19, the protesters were also threatened with lathi-charge but their strong resolve forced the police to back down. Thousands have joined the protest which was started by a few women.
