Kashmir: 49 CRPF Personnel Killed by Suicide Bomber
Forty-nine CRPF personnel (and counting) were killed by a suicide bomber in Pulwama district, in one of the worst attacks on security forces in the state. Several other CRPF men have been critically injured. The terrorist outfit, Jaish-e-Mohammed, took responsibility for the attack. A suicide bomber associated with the terrorist group drove a Scorpio SUV vehicle carrying 350 kg of explosives into the CRPF convoy. This incident takes place in the backdrop of a series of encounters led by the security forces in the district of Pulwama, the most recent of which was carried out a few days ago.
