July 9 Strike: TUs to Protest Anti-People Policies
Following a National Workers Conference held in Delhi on March 18, 2025, central trade unions and independent sectoral federations have called for a nationwide general strike on July 9 against the “anti-labour, anti-farmer and anti-people” policies of the government. At a press conference in Press Club of India in Delhi, the joint platform of CTUs and federations outlined preparations for the strike on Thursday.
The Samyukta Kisan Morcha, agricultural workers' organisations and various rights’ movements have declared their support and active cooperation in this strike. Watch this Newsclick report.
