In a public statement last week, Haseeb Drabu, ex-Finance Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, said Kashmir is not a political issue but a social one. This led to PDP sacking the minister from his post as it went “against their core ideology”. However, Drabu’s views were known well before this statement. Then why the decision of his removal now? Drabu also played a key role in forming the coalition between BJP and PDP and maintaining relations between them. Will Drabu’s exit affect the coalition?
