5.75 Ounces panelists Nikhil Naz and Arjun Pandit discuss the appointment of Sunil Joshi as the new chairman of selectors of the Indian cricket team.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed Sunil Joshi as the new chairman of selectors of the men's senior side, replacing outgoing chief MSK Prasad. The appointment was made after the recommendation from the BCCI the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), comprising of former Indian cricket team players RP Singh, Sulakshana Naik and Madan Lal. Besides Joshi, the CAC also appointed Harvinder Singh, who will join Devang Gandhi, Jatin Paranjpe and Sarandeep Singh, who are already a part of the committee. Joshi, with 15 Tests and 69 ODIs, becomes the most experienced player in the panel. In this episode, the 5.75 Ounces team deliberates whether international experience should be a perquisite for appointment as a national selector. The BCCI certainly doesn't think so.
