Hindu Munnani and Kattunayakar Community in Madurai
The Kattunayakar community in the Paravai village of Madurai district in Tamil Nadu comes under the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. Some of the members from the deprived community had converted to Christianity about 30 years ago. Over a period of time, many members from the community have changed their religion.
