Economy Bombs Amid Diwali Gloom
Three reports on the Indian economy released after Diwali show us that the industries of the country are experiencing a slowdown. Electricity consumption fell to a six-year low, this October. This tells us that factories are shut. In September, production in mining, factories and electricity sector was the lowest in the past eight years. On the other hand, inflation rate has reached a 16-month high. This is how the economy has been bombed, as the country celebrated Diwali.
