' Asli Azaadi' ( True Freedom) is a documentary on india's women freedom fighters. In this film you will meet the amazing women of the Rani of Jhansi Regiment - one of the earliest all - woman military regiments of the world - the brainchild of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Meet the brave and inspirational woman, Captain Lakshmi Sahgal who led it, along with many other women who remained largely unknown.
Meet the women who were inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and a group of women who raised the flag inside the Lahore women's jail!
Shot on location on the sites of the freedom struggle, infused with the music of those times, this is film is both an invaluable historical record and a source of inspiration.
