Anangpur Mahapanchayat: Anger Mounts Against Bulldozer Injustice
On July 13, 2025, a joint Mahapanchayat of several villages was held in Anangpur village of Faridabad in Haryana against bulldozer action of the Forest Department. People alleged that the government was destroying centuries-old settlements and villages.
There was a lot of anger in the Mahapanchayat against the way bulldozers were continuously used in the name of encroachment in Delhi-NCR during the rule of BJP governments in the past and people's homes and livelihoods were demolished. Watch Newsclick's ground report.
