ABVP workers' Attack on Freedom of Expression
A screening of the film, 'Muzaffarnagar Baaqi Hai...' was organised at Kirori Mal College, Delhi University on August 1, 2015. Goons from ABVP (the students wing of BJP-RSS) barged into the Kriori Mall College seminar room on August 1st, 2015 to stop the screening of the film. They violently heckled senior teachers and threatened students. Even though the students stood their ground and insisted on continuing to watch the film, ABVP muscled their way to ensure the screening doesn't resume. Ironically, those opposing the film hadn't watched it and were not even from the college where the film was being screened.
'Muzaffarnagar Baaqi Hai...' is a critically acclaimed documentary film about the massacre in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli districts of Western Uttar Pradesh.
