Seems Like two Countries are Running in Manipur: Sitaram Yechury
Led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) general secretary and former Rajya Sabha MP Sitaram Yechury, a delegation visited violence-hit Manipur for three days. NewsClick caught up with Yechury in an exclusive interview to know what is the situation in Manipur. He said that the security, social and economic situations in the state have been worrying since the violence broke out on May 3. The crisis persists because the state government and the Center have made no effort to improve the situation. Even after nearly four months, individuals are still residing in relief camps, and their living conditions are far from satisfactory.
