The 2022 Nobel Prize in Literature has been awarded to French writer Annie Ernaux. The Nobel Prize, given since 1901, is given for remarkable achievements in the fields of literature, science, peace and economics. The honour was given to Tanzanian novelist Abdulrazak Gurnah in 2021 and the list is long. It also stars Pablo Neruda, Visava Shimborska and Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.
