Milkha Singh Hospitalised for Covid-19; Condition Stable, Says Son Jeev
Milkha Singh has been hospitalised for Covid-19 at Fortis Mohali.
Legendary athlete Milkha Singh, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week, was hospitalised on Monday. However, Milkha’s condition is stable and the hospitalisation was a precautionary measure, said son Jeev Milkha Singh.
He was weak and not eating since yesterday, so we had to hospitalise him," Jeev was quoted by PTI.

Milkha, 91, was in home isolation in Chandigarh after he tested positive for the virus last Wednesday. He has been admitted to Fortis hospital in Mohali. Hospital sources confirmed Milkha's condition was stable.
"Though his parameters seemed alright, we thought it is safer to have him admitted where he would be under supervision of senior doctors," Jeev added.
"He is under good care of doctors there. He is a strong man, always positive and will recover soon," added the golfer, who reached Chandigah from Dubai on Saturday.

Last week, Milkha had explained that a couple of domestic helps at his residence were infected. The family underwent tests following that. "Only I returned positive on Wednesday and I am surprised," Milkha, Milkha, is a four-time Asian Games gold-medallist and the 1958 Commonwealth Games champion, had said.
