JNUSU Elections 2018-19 Update

The counting has resumed after hours of deadlock created by ABVP which resorted to vandalism.

The counting of votes for the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) polls resumed on Saturday evening after being suspended for around 14 hours. The counting had been suspended early morning after an attack on the counting centre allegedly by members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad

Meanwhile student activist Satarupa and Sumitran have been attacked by some unidentified men while on their way back to JNU after filing of a FIR. The men were reportedly carrying weapons and their faces were covered.
