Delhi: Workers Protest at LG House Against ‘Loot of Labour’
Large number of workers, led by CITU, protest in Delhi to demand an end to the contract system, payment of minimum wages among others.
On Friday, October 4, Delhi workers in large numbers gheraoed the Lieutenant Governor (LG) residence. The procession of workers from various sectors, led by the Centre of Indian Trade Union, demanded an end to the contract system, implementation of minimum wages, ensuring workers’ safety and repealing of the Labour Code.
