The proposed draft bill on population control in Uttar Pradesh remains a debated topic from the state to the Centre despite heavy opposition to it. In the next session of the Parliament, some MPs of the ruling BJP are planning to bring a private bill on population control. The same UP government that is eyeing to bring the controversial population law, has given approval to hold the Kanwar Yatra amid the Covid-19 pandemic with so-called Covid protocols in place.
